Cher Las Vegas
Cher Las Vegas
Although Cher is not currently performing in Las Vegas, there are still several great stars to see, including:
Take a look at these headliners, or see a list of Las Vegas shows and get details on what else is going on in town.
With a successful career that has lasted more than four decades and a unique ability to entertain millions worldwide, Cher has been called the epitome of glamour and stardom. The Academy Award-winning actress, singer, and songwriter held a three-year residency at the 4,300-seat Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Her arrival marked the end of Celine Dion's first residency, though on the heels of Cher's departure another Celine Dion Las Vegas show is beginning anew. The Cher Las Vegas show featured hits from the star's legendary career, along with state-of-the-art lighting, special effects, and, of course, the ultra-glamorous singer herself. Cher at the Colosseum ran for three years, ending in 2011, and fans around the world are looking forward to any announcements of what she plans to do next.
Whatever the venue, those who buy Cher tickets are guaranteed not to be disappointed. In keeping with her style, the Cher Las Vegas show was a feast for the senses (featuring a set that came down from the ceiling, up from the floor, and in from the sides) and any future performances in Vegas and beyond are sure to be enthralling. Cher's talented staff of choreographers have the ability to change the stage in an instant to accommodate any of her hit songs, and the shows are also known for the elaborate costumes and sideshows such as dancers and aerialists who dazzle guests with amazing choreography and daring acrobatic moves. While most people believe that the biography of Cher consists mainly of her legendary singing career in the 1970's and 80's or early success with then-husband Sonny Bono, Cher's Believe album was released and awarded a Grammy in 1998. It was one of her most popular albums and sold 20 million copies worldwide, making it the biggest hit of Cher's career. Any Cher in Las Vegas show or concert otherwise features hits from the more recent album, as well as songs from her earlier albums, such as Heart of Stone, which was released in 1989 and is most recognized for the legendary song "If I Could Turn Back Time."
There were many types of Cher show packages available
including options such as Las Vegas tours, a rental car, and accommodations, and the headliners who are currently taking
the stage (Celine Dion and Elton John, as well as Shania Twian in 2012) have an equal range of package deals. While you
may purchase your Las Vegas show tickets at anytime, getting them early is recommended, as performances in Las Vegas are
very popular and frequently sell out. Last-minute visitors can often get deals, but it doesn't necessarily guarantee the
best seats in the Colosseum. In addition to seeing the shows, be sure to check out the other destinations on the Las Vegas
Strip for fabulous nightlife, gambling, dining, and shopping.
